Join Dwyane Wade and Travis Diener, former NBA stars and Marquette University basketball alumni, when they return to Milwaukee this summer for WADE VS. DIENER!
Wade vs. Diener is a two-day event that will feature activities where Wade and Diener will compete (with your help) to raise the most money for local youth literacy programs. The two-day event kicks off on June 15 with Diener and Wade coaching a private basketball camp for elite girls at The Facility in Mequon. Then later that night, Wade and Diener will host a Tee Off Party with fundraising games, dinner and drinks at Pilot Project in Milwaukee. The culminating event of the weekend is an 18-hole Golf Outing at North Shore Country Club in Mequon on June 17 that includes food, beverages, carts, and the opportunity to play alongside Wade and Diener.
Don't miss this opportunity to join these NBA stars as they give back to the Milwaukee community through their shared love of basketball and fundraising for youth literacy.
CLOSING THE GAP
Giving back to the Milwaukee community and ensuring all children have every opportunity to succeed is important to Wade and Diener. Named after his sister, Wade currently funds The Tragil Wade-Johnson Summer Reading Program through Marquette. The University says in the first three years of the summer reading program, 131 second- and -third grade students-every single participant-either maintained or increased their reading level. Funds raised from the Wade vs. Diener events will help fund literacy programs like this.
